Year-End Giving
| | Dr. Wayne Splawn
The year 2023 has been a wonderful time in the life of Mountain Brook Baptist Church. We have witnessed the Lord’s hand at work in and through us in many ways. New people and families have joined our fellowship. New Sunday School classes and small groups have been started. We have partnered with and served alongside mission partners in our city and around the world. In times of grief and loss in our church family, we have reminded one another of the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. We have worked together to discern God’s will for our upcoming building project and made much progress in pledging to give the money necessary to see our vision become a reality when we begin construction in March 2024. As we look to the coming year, there are many reasons to be hopeful as we think of all the Lord might be pleased to do in our midst in the coming days.
But we still have work to do in closing the book on 2023. As of today, we have collected $3,085,960.88 towards our operating budget of $3,231,361. We still need to collect $145,400.12 to meet the ministry budget we approved unanimously as a congregation. I invite you to help us meet the financial needs of our church before the end of the year. You may give online (https://onrealm.org/mbbc/-/form/give/now), in person on Sunday, December 31, or by stopping by the church office today or tomorrow. The church office will observe our normal operating hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) today and tomorrow.
I am grateful for the many ways you steward your time, talents, and treasures to make the ministries of Mountain Brook Baptist Church possible. I ask you to do what you can to help us end the year in a strong financial position.
Yours in Christ,
Wayne Splawn
