Contemporary Worship Service - 11 a.m.

Our 11 a.m. service is led by Micaiah Kelly, our Associate Minister of Music, and  our contemporary worship band.

The service usually takes place in our Sanctuary, but we are currently meeting in the gym while our Sanctuary undergoes renovation.

In this service, we sing hymns and praise songs led by the band. The present instrumentation used in this service includes acoustic guitar, electric lead, bass, keyboard, and drums. The service each week also includes a pastoral prayer and several Scripture readings. Our senior minister, Dr. Wayne Splawn, preaches in both services.

Mountain Brook Baptist Church thinks that it is vitally important for a congregation to learn, and sing songs together in corporate worship. This belief is why our staff works to put together a list of songs that will be sung for an entire calendar year, a contemporary hymnal if you will. This list is prayed over, and carefully put together in such a way as to lead our church in songs that will glorify the Lord, and edify the body of Christ. Find this years hymnal below in the form of a Spotify playlist. Add these songs to your daily listening and then come to church on Sunday morning prepared to sing out with your brothers and sisters in Christ!

Would you like to be part of the band? We are looking for people with a heart for worship and the gift of singing or the ability to play an instrument. If you would like to be part of the great things God is doing in our community, contact Micaiah Kelly (micaiah@mbbc.org).
