Navigating Our Building During Construction (August 2024)

When you come to worship in the next six weeks, you might notice some changes in how you navigate the building.

If you come on a Sunday morning and can’t find your way, know that we’re here to help! We have greeters stationed around the building who are eager to help get you where you need to go. (Please note: If your class is meeting on the third floor, you should not be impacted by these changes unless you need to take someone to another area of the building.)

Navigating to Worship Care (Infants-2K)

1. Enter on Montevallo Road side of the church near the half day entrance OR walk up from Heritage Hall
2. Drop off children
3. Walk back outside and up the sidewalk to get to the Sanctuary OR if it’s raining go back down to Heritage and walk to office elevator/Grand Staircase

Navigating to Classes on Second Floor From Worship (Infant-4th Grade)

1. Exit Sanctuary doors by Overbrook
2. Walk down sidewalk until you get to half day entrance
3. Drop off kids
4. OR, if inclement weather, walk down Grand Staircase/take office elevators to Heritage Hall, go upstairs to half day side and drop off

Navigating to Classes on Second Floor From Arrival (Infant-4th Grade)

1. Enter on Montevallo Road side of the church near the half day entrance OR walk up from Heritage Hall
2. Drop off children and then make your way to your class

Navigating to Classes on Second Floor (Preteens, Adults)

1. If coming to worship first, take balcony elevator or balcony stairs closest to Grand Staircase (on the left as you exit the Sanctuary) down to the second floor, enter ELC Full Day lobby, take a right
2. If coming to Sunday Morning Bible Study first, walk up the hill and enter by the ELC Full Day desk OR go up to the third floor and take the balcony elevator/balcony stairs mentioned above in case of inclement weather/not being able to walk
3. If you need to pick up kids after classes – go back up the balcony stairs, walk out of the Sanctuary on the Montevallo Road side of the church to access the half-day area OR walk down the hill from Overbrook to go into Heritage Hall and walk up the stairs from there

Navigating to Classes Meeting in Heritage Hall

1. If coming from 9 a.m. service, go down office elevator or Grand Staircase
2. If coming from 10 a.m. service, park and enter Heritage Hall off Overbrook Road
3. If dropping off/picking up kids (Rooted Class), can use the half-day stairs by Heritage Hall to drop off and pick up
