Ministry Highlight: Bible Study at The WellHouse

This past month, Dina Burnett and I have gone to The WellHouse to lead the Bible study Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer. Each week, the Lord blesses us with depth of friendship and we see the hand of God at work!
Because of many people who have poured into one WellHouse participant’s life, she greeted us this Tuesday with the wonderful news that she has decided to follow Christ by giving her life to him. She asked if I could leave the DVDs so she could go back through the studies we had already done and listen to them again! Praise God for his work in her life!
Please pray for “C” - that she would grow in wisdom, peace, and love for Jesus as she seeks to follow him. She has started a garden and the sign on the garden is God’s Secret Garden! We talked about how gardens had so many spiritual metaphors! One is that something (the seed) has to die for something to grow! Jesus died on our behalf so that we can be forgiven, so we can grow in mercy and grace, and we die to self so that others can know the gospel! As Peter wrote to the early church, "But grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen" (2 Peter 3:18 NIV).
Also, please pray for “T” who is moving from the immediate shelter house to the road to freedom house! Please pray that God will continue to help her as she ministers to those around her. “C” the gardener said that “T’s” testimony was instrumental in her coming to Christ!
Finally, please continue to pray for all the women at The WellHouse and for the work there! And, if you have any shoes that are still good looking but just sitting in your closet, consider donating them to the closet at The WellHouse! I’ll be collecting them in my office for the next two weeks. As we donate shoes, let us pray that God would help our Women’s Ministry and the women of The WellHouse “walk in step with the Spirit!”
