Have you met Kathleen Bass? Kathleen is our new Associate Minister to Children and Families and joined our church on Sunday, February 12. We're so grateful for Kathleen's gifts and look forward to her leadership and guidance as she works alongside Sharon Howard to shepherd children to know and love the Lord!
Tell us about your family. I grew up in Birmingham and have lived here my whole life. I'm very close with my family and both of my siblings go to Samford! I have a dog named Ham and a fish named Finley.
Where do you work or go to school? I am currently a second year Master of Divinity student at Beeson Divinity School. I graduated from Samford in 2021. I am so excited to be joining the staff at MBBC!
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? By God's grace, I met Mrs. Sharon in November. I love that Mountain Brook Baptist seeks to equip parents to disciple their children and walk alongside families. I knew I wanted to be a part of it!
What is your favorite Bible story or verse, and/or your favorite hymn or praise song? My favorite Bible passage is Psalm 23. I find rest in the reminder that the Lord is my shepherd. My favorite hymn is "Be Thou My Vision."
What are some of your hobbies and interests? In my free time, I enjoy calligraphy, reading for fun, and spending time with family.
What is a fun fact other people may not know about you? I spent last summer studying the Bible in Israel!
