Have you met Megan and Lucas Brown? Megan and Lucas recently moved here from Houston, Texas and joined our church on Sunday, July 24. We hope you'll get to know them a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog, and that you'll have the chance to connect with them one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. We recently moved from Texas for work. We have been married for 10 years and have two sweet kids (Bellamy and Jeb), an English Mastiff, and an ornery old cat. We are so excited to be in Birmingham.
Where do you work? Lucas works for EDT and Megan works for UAB.
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? We were looking for a new home church after our move.
What is your favorite Bible story or verse, and/or your favorite hymn or praise song? Megan's favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 11:1 and Lucas's favorite Bible verse is Luke 12:48. Our favorite hymns are "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" and "Through It All."
What are some of your hobbies and interests? We are both fitness junkies, but lately parenting consumes most of our time.
