Meet Our New Members: Haley & Chris Henley

Have you met the Henleys? Chris Henley is our new organist, and Chris and his wife, Haley, recently joined our church. We hope you'll get to know them a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog, and that you'll have the chance to connect with them one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. Chris: I am married to my beautiful wife Haley, and we have one son, Oliver, who we affectionately call Olliepop or Pop. Haley: I’m married to Chris, the new organist for MBBC. We have one son, Oliver (Ollie).
Where do you work? Chris: I am the Operations Manager for my family business, Talladega Auto Parts-Napa Auto Parts, and I am also the organist for Mountain Brook Baptist Church. Haley: I am a stay-at-home mom and I do some contract special education teaching from home as well.
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? Chris: I received a call, notifying me of the organist position. After discussion with Haley and prayer, we chose to accept the position and come to MBBC.
What is your favorite Bible story or verse, and/or your favorite hymn or praise song? Chris: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 has been very comforting for our family. Today my favorite hymn is "Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery." Haley: A verse that has been monumental in our family is 2 Corinthians 4:17-18.
What are some of your hobbies and interests? Chris: I enjoy spending time reading, working out, practicing piano and organ, and spending time with my family and friends. Haley: We enjoy traveling. We love exploring new places and restaurants. Our favorite thing to do together is sit outside on our porch and talk.
What is a fun fact other people may not know about you? Chris: I am the treasure trove of Andy Griffith trivia. Haley: When I was in college, I was a balloon artist for children's parties and events!
