Have you met Kathleen Jewell? Kathleen joined Mountain Brook Baptist on July 28, 2024 and was baptized on Sunday, August 11. We hope you'll get to know her a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog and that you'll have the chance to connect with her one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. My family has my mom, dad, and little brother, Blake.
Where do you work? This fall, I am starting third grade at Mountain Brook Elementary.
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? I started school at the ELC when I was a baby and went all the way through to 5K! My family started attending MBBC last summer and my parents officially joined in November 2023.
What is your favorite Bible story and favorite praise song? My favorite Bible story is Exodus 2 when Moses is put in the water and his sister follows the basket and helps him! My favorite praise song is: “This is the day that the Lord has made.”
What are some of your hobbies and interests? I dance at Alabama Ballet and am excited about The Nutcracker this winter—come see me in one of the performances! I also take piano lessons at Samford and play tennis.
What is a fun fact other people may not know about you? I love Broadway musicals. Right now, my favorite shows are The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and Annie. I played “Think of Me” from The Phantom of the Opera for my last piano recital!
