Meet Our New Member: Abigail Rice

Have you met Abigail Rice? Abigail joined our church on July 14, 2024. We hope you'll get to know her a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog and that you'll have the chance to connect with her one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. My parents are Chris and Allison, and they joined MBBC in 2006. Dr. Moebes married them in 2007 and they are both Deacons of our church. My older sister is Emma Kate; she is 13 and in 8th grade at Mountain Brook Junior High.
Where do you go to school? I go to Brookwood Forest and am in the 4th grade. My favorite thing so far about 4th grade is getting to help with Safety Patrol!
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? My family has been coming to MBBC since before I was born, so I was dedicated here as a baby. I love coming to church on Wednesday nights to do Mission Friends and Choir, and I love VBS and Camp Chandler every summer!
What is your favorite Bible verse and your favorite praise song? I like Psalm 119:105, which says "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." I like this verse because it helps me remember God is with me wherever I go. I love the song called "Take It All Back," by Tauren Wells.
What are some of your hobbies and interests? I have played soccer since I was four years old, and I also play tennis as well. I love doing anything outside, especially playing with my friends in the neighborhood. I also enjoy reading.
What is a fun fact other people may not know about you? I am very creative, and love to make crafts with different things I find around the house! Also, one of my favorite memories is going on Family Mission Trip to Colorado when I was six.
