Family Promise of Birmingham

Family Promise of Birmingham is a ministry that provides homeless families overnight shelter, food, clothing and job skills to help them get back on their feet while they are out of their homes. MBBC has been a generous host congregation providing numerous overnight hosts to spend the night with our guests, preparing many hot meals to share with them, and helping with job leads, clothing needs, furnishing homes, and paying off insurmountable bills. FPB has a 90% success rate in getting homeless families back into permanent housing during their stay in the program.

Red Mountain Grace

Red Mountain Grace provides apartments to patients receiving long-term medical care at hospitals throughout Birmingham. Since their inception in 2013, they have served over 630 families, providing affordable, comfortable housing to families who otherwise may have had to sleep in their cars or in waiting rooms, or spend thousands of dollars on extended hotel stays. They currently have eighteen apartments located throughout Birmingham, which are fully furnished and serve as an oasis for families in need of respite during medical treatments. Their goal is to meet physical needs by providing affordable housing while also meeting spiritual and emotional needs by providing support to families and showing them the love of Christ in their time of need.

Cornerstone Schools of Alabama

Cornerstone Schools of Alabama offers a private Christian education to students in K4-12th grades. Cornerstone provides all students with a rigorous education while focusing on developing character in each student in a Christ-centered environment.

Restoration Academy

Restoration Academy is a private school for children 5K-12th grade, located in Fairfield. Their mission is to advance the two greatest commandments - love for God and love for neighbor - in the lives of each of their students. They believe that all students deserve access to a quality and Christ-centered education regardless of their income or zip code. Restoration Academy is committed to do its best to meet individual students at their point of need, provide dynamic instruction and curriculum, competitive sports, and outlets for kids to grow into all that God desires them to be.

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Several Habitat houses have been funded through MBBC, and numerous work teams have volunteered labor and furnishings.

The WellHouse

The WellHouse exists to honor God by rescuing and providing opportunities for restoration to female victims of human trafficking who have been sexually exploited. They provide a safe residential environment to women, offering spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical support services. They welcome all women who have been sexually exploited through human trafficking. Regardless of race, color, creed, or religion, women in pain can be assured they will find love and acceptance at The WellHouse.

The Foundry

The Foundry Ministries is a haven where the addict and destitute experience the love of Christ, find freedom, and discover purpose. Grace House

There are over 2,500 Alabama girls in foster care every year. For over 25 years, Grace House has been providing stable, Christian homes for Alabama girls in foster care on their residential campus in Fairfield, Alabama. Grace House's comprehensive approach seeks to end the cycles of poverty and abuse that are so prevalent in the lives of the girls that they serve by educating, equipping, and empowering them to become mature, godly women.

M-POWER Ministries provides opportunities for people to break the cycle of poverty through education and health services. Some of their services include leading GED classes and offering free primary care clinic services to adult patients without insurance, helping them combat and alleviate chronic illnesses.

Missionary Houses

Our church owns two missionary houses which are used to provide a home for our international missionaries who are on furlough from their field of service. Our Missionary House Committee keeps these houses in excellent condition so that our missionaries can be comfortable and enjoy their stay in our community. We benefit greatly from having these missionaries keep us updated about the progress of missions throughout the world.
