What Members are Saying about Foster Parents' PNO
The parents kept telling us at drop off and pick up how special a gift this was to them. They were overwhelmed by the generosity they received. My favorite part of the evening was watching the kids shop for their parents. They had lots of choices and NO budget limitations. They were so excited to tell us what their parents would like. - Lassie Hatley
As a “gift wrapper”, I helped the children shop or in some cases, just gave them a bag and turned them loose! The excitement could not be contained, and needless to say, there was “happy chaos” as they ran from table to table! I was touched by their enthusiasm in shopping for someone else very special in their lives, not for themselves…very sweet to see. - Cecil Avery
We started the evening with a Worship Rally in the Chapel singing Christmas songs and hearing the Christmas story. Throughout the evening, the kids rotated between crafts, music, games and shopping in the “store” for their foster parents. The parents were so appreciative of this event and the kids enjoyed all the fun activities. I’m so grateful for the many volunteers who gave of their time and talents to make this ministry possible. - Meredith Cale
The kids had so much fun in the gym. They all played, ran around and truly enjoyed being a kid. When their parents picked them up, they were so excited to see them and eager to tell them about the night. All kids left exhausted but with big smiles. This is a great ministry our church supports and we were blessed by being able to serve. - Britt Redden
It was so much fun seeing the excitement in the children’s eyes as they arrived for their special night!!! The parents were pretty excited and thankful too!!! Serving dinner and snacks, we had the chance to visit with all the children and they were filled with thankfulness, Christmas Joy and lots and lots of energy!! - Elisabeth Branch
Helping with the Foster PNO was such a rewarding experience for my girls and me. My 14 year old and 10 year old didn’t know much about fostering and this opened up a great opportunity to teach them about it. It helped open their eyes to how blessed they are and how God blessed them with the ability to help others who are doing God’s work. They both said as soon as we got in the car they they want to help next year! - Elizabeth Powell
Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible - to the voluteers, those who gave resources for the store, pizza, and for the giftcards to the parents, and most of all we give thanks to the Lord for these precious families! - Mary Splawn
