Proverbs 20:6 states, "Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful man who can find?” (ESV). It is easy to declare our steadfast love for others, but the true test of our love will be seen in whether we follow through by living faithful lives. Our actions either confirm or undermine the authenticity of our words.
On Sunday, October 26, our congregation voted unanimously to approve our 2026 budget, which totals $4,096,277. This congregational vote followed unanimous votes by our Finance Committee and Deacons. We have declared with one voice our support for this budget. We now enter a season in which we are challenged to follow through as individuals and families. In a sense, the easy part of the budget process is complete. Now, we must decide if we will act in a manner consistent with our words. Will we follow through?
In this season, we are encouraging everyone in our congregation, from the youngest to the most seasoned saints, to consider how the Lord is calling them to give their financial resources to support the growth of our church’s mission and ministries in the days ahead.
