For years, the Hanging of the Green service has been a staple in the worship life of the church, signaling the beginning of the Advent season. Come be a part of this service and hear again the background behind the symbols of the Christmas season that we all hold dear. The Hanging of the Green will take place in the 9 a.m. service on Sunday, December 3, and will feature music provided by the Chapel Choir, Children’s Choirs, and Voices in Bronze Handbell Choir.
“Glorious” – A Telling of the Christmas Story

During the 11 a.m. service, the worship band and members of the congregation will present a telling of the Christmas story from early prophecies through the birth narrative. This has become a warmly inviting service that people of all ages enjoy. Special guest musicians will be a part of this service. Make plans to attend and invite a friend to experience the “glorious” wonder of the Advent/Christmas season.
Combined Worship & Christmas Brunch – “Sing Noel, Sing Hallelujah!” – Second Sunday of Advent

During the 10 a.m. combined worship hour, a twenty-one piece orchestra will join our Sanctuary Choir and you, the congregation, to raise a glorious sound of our noels and hallelujahs to the Lord. Come be a part of this worship service that will feature the music of various composers who have composed lush new material as well as arrangements of many classic Christmas favorites. You will not want to miss this meaningful Sunday as we “sing in” the Advent season in December. Immediately following the service, join us for a time of fellowship as we revive our tradition of Christmas Brunch.
“A Christmas Tapestry” – A Children’s Choirs’ Christmas

presented by the Cherub Choir, Music Makers, and Young Musicians
The Cherub Choir (K4 and 5), the Music Makers (grades 1-3), and the Young Musicians (grades 4-6) will present their Christmas concert in Heritage Hall. Each choir will sing several songs which they have prepared especially for the Christmas season. The kids have worked hard this fall to put this program together. Dinner will be served following the concert at regular Wednesday night prices. Come, bring a friend and enjoy some wonderful music and a great dinner. Whether you have a child in the choirs or not, you will not want to miss this special performance!
“Home Sweet Christmas”
Wednesday, December 13 | 6 p.m. | Hudson Hall
presented by the Mellow Brook Singers
The Mellow Brook Singers (age 55+) will present their Christmas concert in Hudson Hall. Come for our regular Wednesday evening meal at 5 p.m. and stay for a special concert. The choir has worked hard this fall to prepare music for this concert for our church family. They have also used this program to minister to others in our community this holiday season. Dinner will be served at the regular price of $6. Join us for great music, good food, fine fellowship, and a lovely atmosphere.

We will again offer two Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion services to allow for more participation by family, friends, and our community. Come with your family and make this time of worship a centerpiece of your family Christmas tradition. Beautiful décor, lovely music, candlelight ambiance and, most importantly, God’s Word will be shared with all. We invite you to come and hear the good news of Jesus Christ, which we celebrate with the remembrance of His birth.
