Service Day

Saturday, October 5

Our annual churchwide Service Day will be on Saturday, October 5. This year we will participate in projects at Grantswood Community School, Cornerstone High School, Foundry Ministries, and a low-impact ministry option in Hudson Hall. We will meet in Heritage Hall at 8 a.m. for breakfast and head out to our worksites. We will meet back in Heritage Hall for lunch around 12:30 p.m. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ with others in our community!

Here are the projects we are offering for this year:

Grantswood Community School
At Grantswood, we will help with landscaping, assist with their raised bed planters, and decorate bulletin boards.

Cornerstone High School

Our work at Cornerstone High School will be construction-based; we will put together picnic tables and assemble shades for the picnic area. We will also help with landscaping.

The Foundry Ministries
The Foundry Ministries sends out food bags to school-age children over the weekend, to make sure that they have something to eat while at home (much like our Backpack Buddies program). We will write notes of encouragement to the children who will receive these bags.

Low-Impact Ministry Projects in Hudson Hall
There will be several projects in Hudson Hall. We'll put together Backpack Buddies and Christmas backpacks for Mississippi River ministries, work on hygiene kits for North Hills residents, and decorate grocery bags for our Perry County Thanksgiving collection.

Register using the form below, or by contacting Amy Hirsch (

If you are a Jr. or Sr. High school student, will you be attending Bus & BBQ after Service Day?
