Volunteers go to read every other Tuesday morning (9:30-10:30 a.m.) This is a great way to become invested in our community by getting to know students and build partnerships with teachers. Here are our dates for winter/spring 2019:
January 15 & 29
February 12 & 26
April 9 & 23
May 7 & 21
If you’re interested in getting involved in reading, contact Laurie Bowers (email@example.com).

Volunteer to help treat the faculty and staff of Grantswood by cooking (or purchasing) and delivering breakfast on teacher workdays.
Help the GAs and RAs pack bags of food once a month for children at Grantswood. We will be working on the 4th floor in PT's Diner from 4:45-6:30 p.m. You can also sign up to deliver the bags of food to Grantswood on Thursdays throughout the school year.
Spend 30 minutes a week having breakfast with students at Grantswood. Report to the school office between 7:10-7:15 a.m. to sign in and get a visitor’s badge. Tell them you are with MBBC then walk across the hall to the cafeteria. There will be school staff on duty who will point you to a table. After getting your food, sit and talk with the students. Talk about yourself, ask questions about them, and just be a friend. You can talk sports, books, you name it. And of course, share your faith when appropriate. Breakfast is $2.25 per person. Men and women are welcome.
Bulletin Board Installation
Create and install bulletin boards periodically as requested by Grantswood. They will provide the ideas and examples. Email Sherrie Futch (email@example.com) if you are willing to help.
Help maintain and take care of the raised bed garden MBBC installed on the church-wide service day in September. Email Sherrie Futch (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are willing to help.
