Opportunities for physical fitness and athletic competition​​

The gym, game room, and weight room are all wonderful resources for our members and their guests to enjoy recreation in a positive, Christian setting.


CLC PROGRAMS

Senior Stretch

This group meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15-10 a.m. in room 323. This class is free. Senior Stretch helps improve your range of motion, flexibility, and balance.

Weight Room

This room has three multi-function machines, 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, free weights, and other exercise equipment. The weight room is open to the members and their guests. If you’d like to use the weight room but need help with understanding the equipment and setting up a work-out plan, please contact Mary Splawn (803-3448). We’ll connect you with a personal trainer who will give you a no-charge session to educate you about the equipment.

Gym

Contact Amy Hirsch (803-3471) for details about reserving the gym for basketball practices (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5-9 p.m., and Fridays 5-7 p.m.), birthday parties for church members (Saturdays), and other events during the week.

Afterschool Program

The Afterschool Ministry Program is for Mountain Brook Junior High Students, Monday through Friday 3-5:30 p.m. Students have access to the gym, wireless internet, television, snack machines, and game room. Students who attend the Afterschool Ministry Program are asked to sign a Ministry Covenant.  For more information, contact Mary Splawn.

Stretch2Strength Fitness Program

The Christian Life Center works in partnership with Stretch2Strength to provide group workout sessions. Bootcamp sessions are Tuesday and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the church parking lot during the school year. This program is led by certified personal trainers and provides the discipline of a regularly scheduled workout program. All fitness levels are encouraged to attend.
